Newquay RNLI lifeboat day time table 2009

 Timetable is provisional and subject to operational requirements.

 

1000   Lifeboats arrive harbour to be greeted by a lone piper on the end of South Quay

1015   Official opening by Mayor of Newquay (Cllr John Fitter)

1020   Drill Demo by Padstow Sea Cadets on the South Quay

1030   Mayor invited to meet coxswain Alan Tarby and his crew aboard the Padstow Lifeboat and tour the vessel.

1030   Nathan Woodcock & Mangled Prop Trophy Gig Race

1100 – 1115 Parade to Newquay Harbour

1100   Padstow Lifeboat alongside South Quay and open to public viewing.

1115   Kernow Pipe and Drum band playing on the quayside

1130   RNLI Beach Lifeguards Demo

1200   Demo by Koda the Newfoundland rescue dog

1230   Demo by Anglian Princess HMCG Tug

1300   Parachute jump by Royal Artillery display team.

1315   Drill display by Padstow Sea Cadets

1330   Parachute display team presented to Chairman of CC, Cllr. Mrs Pat Harvey

1350   Atlantic Lifeboat launches from Towan beach

1400   SAR Demo with Culdrose helicopter

1420   Net recovery of Atlantic L/B then RNLI Shorecrew demo of turntable system.

1440   Demo by Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service.

1500   “Concert on the Quay” by St Dennis Silver Band

1530   Tae kwon do display on harbour beach.

1615    “Concert on the Quay” continues

1620   Historic Sailing Gig in the bay

1700   The Robot Show on the Killacourt for Newquay RNLI Lifeboat.

1800    Lifeboat Day at Newquay Harbour ends.

1830   The Robot Show on the Killacourt for Newquay RNLI Lifeboat
